Propolis & Usnea Salve - Nature's Antibiotic Ointment

Nature's Antibiotic Ointment is a blend of bee propolis and usnea extracted and infused with beeswax to create a powerful natural antibiotic ointment that can be used to help prevent and treat minor skin infections caused by small cuts, scrapes, or burns.

Propolis is a sticky resin that seeps from the wounds and buds of trees that bees commonly collect from poplar and conifer trees. Upon returning to the hive, the resin is mixed with salivary secretions and flakes of beeswax. The final blend is rich in a variety of vitamins, minerals and amino acids.  Propolis has been called nature's antibiotic and rejuvenates skin by disabling viruses and fighting infections. The antiseptic & antibiotic properties of propolis help to ensure a germ free environment. 

Usnea, a lichen, contains usnic acid which has been shown in studies to fight infection-causing bacteria, reduce inflammation, and stimulate wound closure.   Unea's anti-inflammatory properties are believed to be responsible for increased markers of wound healing.
